4-Day Tanzania Lodge Safari: Visit the Serengeti National Park (1 night) and Ngorongoro Crater (1 night) and Tarangire National Park (1 night), and Ngorongoro Crater (1 night). The tour starts and ends in Arusha. With our experienced driver guides, it will be the trip of a lifetime!

This 4-day best Tanzania lodge safari starts and ends in Arusha, Tanzania. Our safari manager will meet you at your accommodation or hotel in Arusha one day before the safari to give you a detailed safari briefing. In the event of a late arrival, the safari leader will come to your accommodation or hotel in the morning and give you a short safari briefing before heading off into the wilds of Tanzania.

Drive Times

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire takes about 2.5 to 3 hours (106 km).
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti takes about 4.5 to 5 hours (256 km).
Day 3: Serengeti to NCA takes about 3 to 3.5 hours (151 km).
Day 4: NCA to Arusha takes about 4 to 4.5 hours (154 km).

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire

Pick up from the Arusha hotel at 8:00 a.m., then take a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, where you will have a full-day game drive inside the ark. Later, you will drive to Marera View Lodge for dinner and overnight. Tarangire National Park is 115 kilometers from Arusha and covers an area of 2800 square kilometers. Wild animals drink water from the Tarangire River, which is where the name Tarangire comes from. The park has major attractions, including a large number of elephants, climbing trees, pythons, and baobab trees. Also, you will be able to see lions, leopards, and other animals.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never-ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. A picnic lunch will be served during the day-long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodations.

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later, depart for Ngorongoro Crater with a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and contains fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes, and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodations.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Wake up for breakfast around 5.30, and after breakfast, descend to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater, where you can see all the big five and different types of birds, including the black rhinoceros, which can be found inside the crater. On this day, you can enjoy lunch in the crater while observing nature and the high concentration of flamingos.

Later, after 6-7 hours of game driving inside the crater floor, it is necessary to ascend from the crater through the campsite to pack all the luggage into the jeep and get ready to go back to Arusha for the night.
